REDLANDS, CA, APR. 3, 2011
With the current rules in AMA racing for the 450cc single-cylinder machines using a basic motocross bike for a foundation, Today’s Cycle Coverage caught up with National number 37, Jimmy Wood, to see just what it takes to transform the motocrosser into a Grand National-level DTX mount. Wood, who grew up in Southern California racing the Southern California Flat Track Association and Eddie Mulder events, is also an accomplished road racer, and he finished an impressive eighth in the opening round of the dirt track season this year at Daytona, on the short track. Our thanks to Jimmy, Jim and Laura Wood for providing all this info.
