Round eight of Southern California Flat Track Association action was held at Perris Raceway, and while the full story and results will be posted shortly, here’s a couple of photos to whet your appetites…

John Kocinski (3), the current track record holder at Perris, once again showed his backside to the 250cc-360cc Expert field. Slightly off his 14.28-second track-record speed, Kocinski still recorded the fastest lap time of the night, at 14.54 seconds, aboard his Bud Aksland-tuned, Andy Bondio-built, Knight-framed Honda. Lloyd McGregor (38), a longtime fixture in dirt-track racing and a super-nice guy to boot, picked up his first Pro main-event victory at Perris during round eight of the Southern California Flat Track Association action. In the 20-lap final, McGregor had taken over the lead from Jeremy Toye (379) by the halfway point, and he then pulled away for the victory. Fastest qualifier Mark Cernicky had to start from the third row due to a red-flag incident that also involved the Bush brothers. Photo by Jessyca Blunt
