GEICO Honda-backed Geoff Aaron has missed very few EnduroCross events since the first one was held in Las Vegas in 2004. He has a couple of main-event wins and countless podium finishes, and he was the series runner-up in 2009 and 2010. So it was very disappointing when a shoulder injury put him on the sidelines for the opening round of 2012. Although he is not back to 100 percent, he does plan to be back in action for the Sacramento round of the series coming up this weekend, on Saturday, June 9, inside the Power Balance Pavilion.

Geoff Aaron plans to return at the second round of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship Series at Sacramento’s Power Balance Pavilion.

“Yes, I’m attempting to ride Sacramento this weekend.,” Aaron said about his comeback at this upcoming round. “I rode for the first time in six weeks at the Thunder Valley MX National last weekend, doing a Trials demo for Red Bull. My shoulder injury is still only 75 percent and is very painful after I abuse it. My goals for EnduroCross are to make the main event and not injure myself more. I will try as hard as I can and see what happens.”

So just making the main event may be a challenge for Aaron, but you can be sure that the 10-time AMA Trials Champion will give it his all.

Aaron and all of the top EnduroCross riders will be signing autographs inside the Power Balance Pavilion concourse when the doors open at 7 p.m. Practice and qualifiers begin on Saturday morning, and the pit area and Arena will be open to the public for free all day. But you will need a ticket for the evening’s racing. Get your tickets now!
