Fox started from gate one and led the field through the first corner. Gino Manzares emerged as Fox’s biggest threat as they raced down the back straight. Manzares was determined to catch the leader, but Fox steadily put distance between himself and his closest challenger. Manzares slowed dramatically and pulled off the track with an engine failure. “Battlin’ Buck” Blair took over second, but by then Fox’s leads was too big to overcome. Fox was first to the checkered flag, Blair finished second, Castro was third, Tyson Talkington finished fourth, and Manzares was credited with fifth.
