Sadly, the West Coast family of flat-track racers has lost another brother.
Greg Riddle, son of Bud and Mary Riddle, has been around flat-track racing all of his life. His father – known around Central California as “Uncle Bud” – was well known for his Husabergs in his days of building bikes and sponsoring riders such as the late Rob Damron, after earlier working with Kenny Noyes, among many others.
Known as “G Money,” Greg loved motorcycles and racing. A force to reckoned with on the track, he frequented many local tracks with his dad. Working together in the pits not only on their equipment but also on the equipment of many others, Greg and his dad were a team.
With a “large” personality, Greg always had a smile on his face, sharing his humor and his genuine caring for others. Greg will be sorely missed.
Doing what he loved best, Greg was trail riding last Saturday, coaching another rider, when he crashed and suffered major injuries. As a result of those injuries, he left us for the tracks in heaven, to ride again with Rob and others who have gone before him.
Our thoughts are with his family in this time of loss.
Godspeed, Greg. May you rest in peace.
