Kevin Weisbruch Injured at Phoenix SX

PHOENIX, AZ, JAN. 11, 2014

Kevin Weisbruch, a seasoned racer from Murrieta, California, was seriously injured at the second round of the AMA’s Supercross Series. The accident occurred on January11, 2014, in Phoenix, Arizona. Weisbruch was attempting to qualify for the main event in the Western Regional 250SX class when he went down and reportedly suffered a crushed larynx and trachea (windpipe).

After undergoing surgery, he is currently recovering in the Intensive Care Unit at a Phoenix hospital and will be there for several days.

Having raced for more than nine years, Weisbruch has won several local Amateur titles and is reportedly now into his third Pro season.
