The 2014 season of AMSOIL Arenacross, featuring Ricky Carmichael’s Road to Supercross, has been a showcase for some of the sport’s rising stars. The Road to Supercross has proved to be a successful and exciting addition to the championship and has shown the bright future of AMSOIL Arenacross. Road to Supercross competitor Colt Nichols is one of those riders who garnered a lot of attention this season, aboard his Babbitt’s Monster Energy/ AMSOIL Kawasaki presented by Maxxis ride.

Colt Nichols (45) is currently ninth in the Arenacross points chase.

Nichols may be a rookie in AMSOIL Arenacross, but he has begun his career in an enviable position as part of one of the most successful and well-respected teams in the championship, racing under the guidance of highly accomplished teammates Tyler Bowers and Zach Ames. Nichols has been given the tools to succeed, and he’s shown the ability to be a consistent front-runner in AMSOIL Arenacross. The most memorable moment of the 2014 season for Nichols came in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he not only broke through for his first main-event win but also his first finish on the overall podium, in second.

With just one weekend remaining until the Race to the Championship begins, Nichols is in a position to qualify for the four-round showdown between the top 10 riders in AMSOIL Arenacross. Currently sitting ninth in the Arenacross-class standings, Nichols needs a pair of solid and consistent nights this weekend in Reno, Nevada, to solidify his position in the Race to the Championship and join his teammates in the season-ending fight for the title.
