Already one of the most notable figures in AMSOIL Arenacross, featuring Ricky Carmichael’s Road to Supercross, Vicki Golden added to her legacy last weekend by becoming the first woman to join the Road to Supercross program. The new Babbitt’s Monster Energy/ AMSOIL Kawasaki presented by Maxxis rider kicked off her journey by qualifying for the night show last Friday inside the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho. That effort helped Golden earn the first of three required points toward a 250SX-class endorsement in Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship. If successful, she will become the first woman in history to earn the chance to race in the world’s premier off-road motorcycle racing championship.

Vicki Golden has already earned one point toward a 250SX-class endorsement. Tonight, she's looking for more.

Unfortunately for Golden, her night in Nampa got off to a bumpy start, ad she was involved in a crash early in the first heat race of the evening. She suffered an injury to her hand in the incident, which hindered her ability throughout the remainder of the weekend. However, with some additional days of rest, Golden is back and ready to go in Reno and will be looking to earn her second point this weekend.

AMSOIL Arenacross caught up with Golden after her historic night in Nampa to get her thoughts on earning her first Road to Supercross point and what it will take to ultimately earn that 250SX-class endorsement.
