The American Motorcyclist Association has elected George Barber, Museum founder and racetrack builder, and renowned Honda road racer Scott Summers to be inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame at the AMA National Convention on, October 16-19, in Orlando, Florida.

Also, Tom White, a Trailblazer Hall of Famer and a longtime board member, will be inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame. White was a successful racer, number 80, on the Pro Flat Track circuit before founding White Brothers Cycle Specialties in 1975. The firm was sold in 2000, but he is still quite active in motocross racing and announcing, as a motorcycle advocate, and with his Early Years of Motocross Museum. White is always there to give a helping hand. Even though he is extremely busy, he has volunteered to run the Tom Cates Memorial Bike Show at the Trailblazers banquet since its inception.

Congratulations, Tom, for an honor well deserved. This couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
