Going into the race at Calistoga, Bryan Smith was leading the points race, but he was disqualified for ignoring a black flag when he developed an oil leak. That cost him dearly.

Bryan Smith (42) led the points race coming into Calistoga and had hopes of winning his first Grand National Championship this year. Unfortunately, he was disqualified when his Kawasaki EX650 began smoking and spraying oil in the main event.
