First Three EnduroCross Rounds to Serve as X Games Qualifiers

For the second year in a row, the 2015 X Games will take place at the Circuit Of The Americas in Austin, Texas, and it will again feature Enduro X competition. The Enduro X will take place on Friday, June 5, and will be aired on ESPN (details to be confirmed).

The rider qualification process will be as follows:

Men

There will be 24 riders at the X Games Enduro X.

The top 12 from the points standings of the 2014 AMA GEICO EnduroCross will be invited:
Cody Webb
Taddy Blazusiak
Colton Haaker
Taylor Robert
Max Gerston
Mike Brown
Cory Graffunder
Bobby Prochnau
Geoff Aaron
Ty Tremaine
Wally Palmer
Destry Abbott

Additional wild-card riders to be announced.

Three additional spots will be filled from the Daytona, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas rounds of the 2015 GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series. The invites will go to the next-highest-placed riders who have not already qualified after each round, for a total of nine riders. Qualified riders will be announced after each round.

Women

There will be 12 riders at the X Games Enduro X.

The top six from the points standings of the 2014 AMA GEICO EnduroCross Series will be invited:

Additional wild-card riders to be announced.

Two additional spots will be filled after the Vegas EnduroCross round. The invites will go to the two highest-placed riders in the 2015 points standings who have not already been invited. Qualified riders will be announced after the Las Vegas round.

“The Austin Enduro X will again feature the world’s best off-road riders,” said Eric Peronnard, the motorcycle sports organizer for the X Games. “The crowd during our first visit to Austin was incredible, so we look forward to building on that momentum and showcasing EnduroCross.”

The GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship Series will make its first-ever visit to Daytona, Florida, to kick off the 2015 season. The event will take place on Friday, March 6, inside the Ocean Center, located just a few miles down the road from the famed Daytona International Speedway, which will host the Monster Energy Supercross Series the following night.

If you have never been to an EnduroCross, get to an event in 2015! You will be blown away by the exciting show and the amazing skills on display. And if you want to see how your skills match up to the EnduroCross track, there are classes for riders in the Open Amateur, Vet Over 35, Women’s and TrialsCross classes that anyone can enter!
