Hurd Motorsports, promoters of the world-class Broome-Tioga Sports Center, hosted the eighth round of their Winter Mud and Snow Scrambles Series. The series consists of 10 rounds running from November through April and utilizing the multiple motocross tracks, grass-track and single-track trails of this massive facility. This unique and challenging series continues to expand and has been attracting new racers but also continues to draw some of the most experienced and talented off-road riders from Upstate New York and beyond.

Round eight dawned under sunny skies and in chilly temperatures in the low 20s. Clouds rolled in late in the morning and light snow began to fall intermittently throughout the day, and the temperatures eventually rose to a balmy 30 degrees!

The racecourse for this round was shortened due to the deep snow that blanketed the facility’s massive grounds, and the Broome-Tioga track crew bulldozed down to the dirt surface to give riders a racecourse that was raceable.

Marcus Scutt-Cornell (5), Daniel Conway (522), Kevin Kilmer (26), Ethan Livingston (1888), Jon Bidlack (1069) and Alex Dzikiewicz (38) lead the start of the Super Open motorcycle scrambles.
