Thirty-five years ago this month, the movie that has been heralded by many as the best motorcycle movie ever made premiered in Daytona, Florida.

From April 9 through April 12, 2015, we at Forest & Ocean Gallery in Laguna Beach, California, are celebrating the multi-award-winning film Take It to the Limit: A Motorcycle Odyssey with a display of art from the movie and a display of exotic motorcycles featured in the film.

We will open with a special event on Thursday evening, April 9, from 6 to 9 p.m., with appearances by music legend Arlo Guthrie (remember the lyric “I don’t want a pickle” from the film…?); the film’s producer and director, Peter Starr; the director of photography, Mark Zavad; editor John Bryant; and a host of motorcycle-racing celebrities.

Mark your calendars and join us for this special evening. Appropriate refreshments will be served.

The movie starred the very icons of the sport at that time, including Kenny Roberts, Steve Baker, Roger DeCoster, Barry Sheene, Mike Hailwood, Marty Smith, Bruce Penhall, Mike Bast, Mick Andrews, Debbie Evans, and Russ Collins, and they were supported by a cast of thousands. The music was provided by Foreigner, Jean Luc Ponty, Tangerine Dream and, of course, our special guest Arlo Guthrie.

The event will be held at Forest & Ocean Gallery, located at 480 Ocean Avenue in Laguna Beach, California 92651. For more information, contact Ludo Leideritz at 949/371-3313 or 949/350-9370.
