85cc Exhibition
The CFTA is all about youth and families, and they have a place at this event. There are two qualification rounds for the 85s: Prairie City on April 18 and Lemoore Speedway on April 25. It’s an honor and a privilege to race the Mile, and these kids need to earn their way, too. All you older folks are “grandfathered in.” (Yuk yuk!)

There will be a maximum of 16 riders in a race.

We will have B and C main events, pending time constraints.

Laps: There will be five laps for heat races, eight for main events.

Purse Sponsors Sought
The cost of running at Sacramento is high. Therefore, the CFTA cannot pay meaningful Pro purses. Our hope is that some folks out there might help get some money into the riders’ pockets. Please spread the word!

CFTA Flat Track Training School
We want to make the most of this fantastic weekend, with something for everybody – including the person who wants to dip their toe into racing. Help spread the word to anyone who you think might be interested in racing or who just wants to have fun at a training camp.

Thank You
The CFTA is thrilled to be associated with SMI and the Sacramento Mile team. There would be no CFTA Amateur Mile race without these fine folks.

We owe them the delivery of new fans – so climb on the mountaintop and yell out the news to everyone, “Order your tickets now!” for the only GNC Mile race on the West Coast. If we do our job right, we just might get invited back again next year.

CFTA Round 1
The first round of the CFTA Championship Series will be held on Saturday, April 18. We are very happy and proud to announce our partnership with Big Time Speedway for our first race of the season. These guys have stepped up big time and have addressed some of the issues at the Prairie City Track. Here are a few of the many changes:

They have invested in more DG to make a better race surface.

They have modified the shape of the track to make it more racey.

They are ripping the track to get the water down deep. Track prep will begin several days before the race.

They have installed new grandstands and spiffed up the place.

The same as the CFTA, they are an organization that puts family and youth first. We believe in them and they believe in us.

Just to be clear, this is a CFTA/ AMA Championship race, but we’ve brought in Big Time Speedway’s knowledge, enthusiasm and dedication to deliver a quality event.
