Race Report by Braydon Bland, fourth overall Amateur and second in class
Saturday morning got me all stoked, because even though the top layer of dirt was dusty, right below that, it was wet. I got all ready and geared up for the race. Skyler [Howes] and I both had our line over the wash picked out, and we made a jump that jumped over it.

When the banner dropped for me (row two), I got a fairly good jump, but not what I was hoping for. With this start being so long on a flat, I was pinned, and I was getting pulled by the 250s. As we came through the first set of banners, I was inside the top 10. It was dusty at first until we got into the trees.

The first loop was mostly flats the whole way. After I pitted and took off out of the pits, I pushed really hard and made up a handful of positions. I started having malfunctions with my stabilizer, which ended with me no longer having one. It took a little bit to get used to, but after that, I found my groove and rode solid with hardly any mistakes and no crashes the whole race, resulting in a fourth overall Amateur!

The second loop was really fun! Thanks, Sugarloafers, for a great race!
