The SCTA (Southern California Timing Association) has canceled Bonneville Speed Week due to wet and dangerous conditions on the salt.

The event was to be held from August 8 through August 14. There may be future events, but most of the salt flats are wet – or wet and muddy.

Guy Martin and the Castrol Triumph team were planning an attempt to surpass the World Land Speed Record for Motorcycles, currently at 376.363 mph. They will have to wait to run their two methanol-burning, turbocharged, 2300cc, three-cylinder engines in a custom-made streamliner.
