Eddie Mulder’s West Coast Dirt Track Series doubleheader weekend at Willow Springs is coming up soon, on October 3 and 4. It was announced earlier this summer that there would be a $30,000 Dash For Cash purse provided by Mark and Randy Zimmerman of Specialty Fabrications.
Now Eddie Mulder is excited to also announce a Pro purse of at least another $30,000. Digger Helm has stepped up with his part – $30,000 – of the weekend Pro main-event purse. The total purse will be a combined amount from Digger and Ramspur Winery. As of press time, Eddie is waiting to hear from Ramspur Winery to announce their contribution to the weekend purse.
This year, Eddie has also had to jump through additional hoops to get the West Coast Dirt Track Series’ October Willow Springs weekend to happen. Due to the ongoing drought in California, he has had to apply for a “special use” permit to get the water that is needed for proper track prep. The permit application has been submitted and needs approval by California Governor Jerry Brown. Eddie is currently waiting to hear from the governor.
Once the governor has given approval and Ramspur Winery has provided an amount for the purse, the West Coast Dirt Track Series will announce and post the pre-registration forms to register for the West Coast Dirt Track Series Willow Springs October 3rd and 4th weekend.
