Y’all want some hot August nights? Here we go!

See the photo below? It’s a rare one: There are only two bikes in this photo from the Bomber Expert class. Most of the time, there are two or three more riders in this spot on the track!

With classes for just about everything on two wheels (with exceptions for safety and commonly accepted rules), you can come out and race, or come out and see a great night of racing! Nearly 200 entrants have been signing up to race on one of the Southwest’s premier dirt short tracks!

This will be round eight of the 2015 Southern California Flat Track Association season. Round nine will take place on September 19, and round 10 on October 10.

With the season winding down, the best dirt trackers in the world will be heading for the West Coast. Can’t make Calistoga or Vegas? The SCFTA will be running a $10,000 Pro purse short track on Saturday night, November 14, the first half of our third doubleheader of 2015. That Sunday will be our season finale!

Check your maps. This is a great destination for an evening ride!

Hell On Wheels fans: Want some seat time for Meatball’s race? No track days or practice until the race on August 29. Come out and race, or come out and see how things are run. SCFTA members: This is always a fun night (but more adult oriented).

With the number of entries we’ve been having lately, please, if you are spectating, park in the lot across the street. Pit parking is for the racers!

Please, no glass bottles.

Competition is for motorcycles only. No three-wheeled machines are allowed.

Class C flat-track tires are required except in the following classes: 100cc Four-Stroke, Youth 85cc and under, and Powder Puff.

Bring plenty of liquids and shade, because it will be a warm day. Coolers are allowed. Food and refreshments will also be available on site.

Be aware: Noise is a problem! Please remember that no straight pipes, open megaphones or overly loud bikes will be tolerated. Perris is slowly becoming a bedroom community, and we all need to consider the noise levels coming from the track. Promoter Vince Graves is going to great lengths to keep the neighbors and the city happy by studying and monitoring noise levels at the track; if your bike is too loud, you may be asked to park it for the evening and have it tested before racing again. While we may be at the oldest continually running motorcycle racetrack in California, it’s no guarantee that we will be able to keep running at Perris if we can’t keep the sound to acceptable levels. Many riders have been trying hard to get their bikes compliant; their efforts are greatly appreciated! Cone Engineering is a Southern California company that specializes in mufflers and exhaust systems; check out their website for ideas!

Heat is also a major concern. Bring shade, and remember to keep hydrating!

Donna and Freddie Edwards and Vince Graves and the SCFTA Crew thank you for your support and patronage!
