Carol Perez, R.I.P.

By Kelly Inman

It is with an absolutely broken and heavy heart that I send this on behalf of everyone from Industry Racing and the Industry Hills Expo Center.

2016-0926-carol-perezOn Thursday, September 15, our friend, our “momma,” Carol Perez, suddenly passed away at home, with her loving husband and boys right there, from what possibly could be complications from her broken ankle. We are not sure yet. There were no warning signs or anything that alerted even Carol that anything was wrong.

I had just finished another great phone conversation, like we always had. She was happy, feeling good and heading home to figure out dinner for the family.

I will keep everyone updated as the exact cause is found. I am just numb. We are all in shock. All of us from Industry Hills Expo Center are grieving, and our thoughts are with Dave and their boys, her mom and her sister. The entire staff is like family and Carol was the glue, the heartbeat of this family. We are all in disbelief.

Loving, generous, always thinking of others, kind, funny, determined, strong, clever and larger than life are only a few ways to describe this amazing woman.

I ask that everyone respect the privacy of the Perez family and the office staff at Industry during this extremely difficult time. In lieu of flowers, we will post what can be done as soon as possible. I will keep everyone updated.

Please keep her amazing family, all the staff that were family and all her friends in your thoughts.

R.I.P., Momma P – we love you!
