world-vet-mx-championships-2016-logo-200-0001John Owen, the owner of Competitive Motosports, is proud to announce that, after months of fund raising, he was able to secure an amazing $1,500 Pro purse for the Women’s Pro class during the 32nd annual Dubya USA World Vet Championships, which are coming up in just a few short weeks at Glen Helen Raceway.

“I am very proud and honored to once again be a part of this epic event,” said Owen.

In addition to securing the Pro purse, Owen is sponsoring three of the top European female racers lined up to compete during the two days of racing at the world-renowned Glen Helen Raceway. For her return trip over to compete in the Women’s Pro class, four-time Women’s World MX Champion Steffi Laier from Dielheim, Germany, plans to take home the gold. Birgit Lemp-Schelkle, who also hails from Germany (but is currently living in Chicago, Illinois), plans to give Laier a run for the money. Meanwhile, a newcomer to the United States, the 2015 JMS Belgium champ, Kathleen VanHaeren from Hoeselt, Belgium, declared: “I am just excited to have the opportunity to travel to California and race with the American girls. What a dream come true!

Through his efforts at Competitive Motosports, Owen is also providing bike transportation from Ohio to California and back for four Amateur male competitors who will be competing at the Dubya World Vet Championships this year as well.
