Johnny Ringo Fund Raiser
By Elliott Iverson
SAN BERNARDINO, CA, APR. 15, 2017
Today, Saturday, April 15, there is a fund raiser at Douglas Motorcycles to raise funds to help with the recovery of Johnny Ringo.
You may not know Ringo, but you know the riders he has coached and trained to ride over the toughest of courses. Lately, he has worked with some of the top EnduroCross riders from some of the top teams. He is an off-road enthusiast who has given his all to the sport he loves. Recently, he was injured in a cross-country race, and now he needs help from all the people who love the sport in which he has been so deeply involved.
This Saturday, April 15, there will be a ride. Adventure bikes, dual-sport bikes, and any adventurous-plated bikes will all be welcome. Signup starts at 7:30 a.m., License plates and spark arrestors are required. It is requested that Hawaiian shirts be chosen over riding gear!
There is a lot of industry support for this event. Lots of great stuff is offered for raffle prizes. Entries start at $15. Got the spunk to run the loop? Everything from 125s to giant BMWs are welcome. This is a fund raiser for one of the great supporters of our sport.
Come on out, buy a raffle ticket, come back to Parts and harass me, and have a good time on a Saturday with no racing!
Plus, you’ll be helping a great guy and a sport that needs all the support we can give!
If you’re not riding, all the interesting stuff should start about 11 a.m. – raffles, auctions and more.
Some of the top trials and off-road riders will be there to share experiences and show off their talents!
So, if you’re participating in the ride or not, come on out and have some fun, meet some of the nicest folks in the off-road community, and help out one of our own.
