Here are some of the events happening this weekend in California… and beyond!

Celebration of Life for Zaden Florez
On April 15, 2017, 10-year-old Zaden Florez succumbed to injuries he suffered while racing at the Lodi Cycle Bowl. He will always be loved and missed by all who knew him. There will be a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 5, at the Salinas Sports Complex Exhibition Hall, located at 1034 N. Main in Salinas, California.

Ninth Annual Quail Gathering
The weekend will start on Friday, May 5, with the Quail Ride, which wanders throughout the Monterrey Peninsula. On Saturday, May 6, the crème de la crème of motorcycle riders will meet from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the lawn of the Quail Lodge in Carmel, California. The theme this year is “The Evolution of the Motorcycle” and they will be celebrating the past, present and future. They expect more than 400 motorcycles at this first-class event. A gourmet barbecue lunch will be available, plus wines, entertainment, lifestyle vendors and motorcycle manufacturers. Arenacross Series
The Arenacross Series finale will be held from Friday to Sunday, May 5 to 7, at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. For more information, please go to

District 37 Big 6 Grand Prix
The fifth round of the District 37 Big 6 Grand Prix Series will be held in Primm, Nevada, on May 6 and 7.

AMA National Adventure Ride Series
Up for an adventure? These events were designed for dual-sport and adventure-style motorcycles. On May 6 and 7, there will be a Yosemite Adventure Tour. Big Time Speedway Spring Fling

AHRMA Regional Race
On May 6 and 7 there will be an AHRMA Regional race at Crooked River Ranch in Terrebonne, Oregon. There will be a swap meet and a bike show, too. For more information, please go to

AMA Supercross Series Finale

Glen Helen Raceway
On Saturday, May 6, there will be an REM MX and MX Practice at Glen Helen. The Mud Factor event will be held on Sunday, May 7.

So Cal Old-Timers Motocross
There will be a So Cal Old-Timers Motocross event on Sunday, May 7, at Competitive Edge in Hillside, California. This is for Beginners to Masters. You must be over 40 to join, but younger riders are also welcome. For more information, please call 714/262-1337 or go to

All-British Spring Swap Meet
The BSA Owners Club of Southern California (BSAOCSC) presents the All-British Spring Swap Meet on Sunday, May 7. British and European Motorcycles and Parts only. Free to buyers.
