This weekend, the 2017 AMA Kenda/ SRT West Hare Scrambles Series heads to Pioche, Nevada, for the Saw Mill Run: Battle at Boot Hill. Hosted by the Silver State Trail Blazers, this event on the terrain of the Nevada desert awaits the West Hare Scrambles racers at round six.

Complete with tight trails, flowing sand washes and technical terrain, there is something for everyone at the Saw Mill Run!

The exciting racing action is set to go down all day Saturday, when fans will get to watch riders from 4 years old all the way to the nation’s top professional West Coast hare scrambles racers compete.

The day will begin with the Pee Wees, who will race on a 2.5-mile course for 30 minutes.

Shortly after, the flag will wave for the Mini classes, which includes Girls, Big Wheel, 85cc (7-11) and Junior Girls racers, who will take on an 11-mile course for 1.5 hours.

Early in the afternoon, the big-bike riders will take to the starting line, and the Women, Masters Over 60, and Sportsman racers, along with the entire Novice line-up, will go bar to bar!

The feature event of the day will begin at 1:30 in the afternoon, and fans can watch the West Coast’s best go head to head. The current points leader, Beta’s very own Max Gerston, will be looking to further extend his points lead, ahead of District 36’s Joey Fiascanaro and 2016 Purvines Yamaha DA8 champion Nick Burson. Considering there has been a new winner at every round so far this year, the racing has never been more intense!

In the Pro 250cc ranks, J.T. Baker has gone practically undefeated to secure the points lead, except for round three, at which second-place points holder Cole Conaster took a victory of his own. Dillon Sheppard sits tied with Conaster heading into the sixth round.

Racing is just days away, so don’t miss out on an action-packed weekend of racing in the cool desert of southern Nevada!
