Here are some of the events happening this weekend in California, and beyond…!

BSA Club North/South Rally
Tonight, Thursday, September 21, through Sunday, September 24, will be the California BSA Club’s “North/South” Rally in San Luis Obispo. AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Friday, September 22, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. The weekend’s festivities will include the AIMEXpo, and a Bike Night at the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum on September 23. For prices and info, contact the AMA at 614/856-1900 or www.americanmotorcyclist.com The inductees for 2017 are Donnie Emler Sr., Eddie Lojak Sr., Bob Moore, Peter Starr and John Ulrich. Bill Werner is being honored as the 2017 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Legend; he was inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame in 2000. Bill is the most successful tuner and bike builder in AMA Grand National Championship history. Congrats to all!

Glen Helen Raceway
There will be an REM MX/ MX Practice at Glen Helen Raceway on Saturday, September 23. The SRA Grand Prix will be held on Sunday, September 24. For more information, please go to www.glenhelen.com or call 909/880-3090.

Fast Fridays Motorcycle Speedway
On Saturday, September 23, 16 of the best speedway riders will compete at Fast Fridays Motorcycle Speedway in Auburn, California. For more information, please call 530/878-7223 or go to www.fastfridays.com.

Lodi Cycle Bowl
Round 14 of the Lodi TT Series will take place on Saturday, September 23, at the Lodi Cycle Bowl in Lodi, California.

EnduroCross Series
The next AMA EnduroCross Championship will be in Reno, Nevada, on Saturday, September 23. Multitime off-road motorcycle champion Destry Abbott will host a two-hour EnduroCross training session on Friday, September 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. The hands-on class will have several top Pro riders assisting Destry. It is open to all riders (even those not competing at the Reno event). The entry fee is $100. Costa Mesa Speedway
The John Matherson Cup will be held on Saturday, September 23, at Costa Mesa Speedway. The action will include Speedway races as well as sidecars and Juniors. For more information, please go to www.costamesaspeedway.net or call 949/492-9933.

AMA Dual Sport Series
The next AMA Dual Sport Series event will be held on Saturday, September 23, at Buck Meadows, California. Put on by www.familyoffroadadventures.com.

Classic Flat Track Day at Willow Springs Raceway
Coming up this weekend is a Classic Flat Track Day on Saturday, September 23, at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, California. This event will be put on by Ramming Speed. Entry is $100. The event will run from noon to 5 p.m. The after-party and minibike scrambles will start at 5. Entry is $25 per rider, $10 per spectator, and includes barbecue, suds and camping. So Cal Old-Timers MX
The next So Cal Old-Timers MX race on Sunday, September 24 at Perris Raceway. The race is for Beginners to Masters. You must be over 40 to join. Your racers are also welcome. This is a family-friendly group. For more information, please go to SoCalOTMX.org.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride
On Sunday, September 24, come join the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. This unique annual fund raiser for men’s issues, including prostate cancer and mental health, is open to both men and women. Dress in your most dashing, distinguished, dapper attire – lots of tweed, bowties, tuxedos, etc. – mount your vintage motorcycle, and join the thousands around the world who are participating in their area. The Los Angeles ride had more than a thousand riders last year. This event is world wide; around 65 countries have a DGR happening at exactly the same time (time zones notwithstanding).
