Here are some of the events happening this weekend in California…

Events at the Petersen
The 23rd annual Gala at the Petersen Automotive Museum will be held on Saturday, October 14. It will be a romantic, glamorous, period-themed evening hosted by James Corden, celebrating the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s. For tickets, go to www.petersen.org or call 323/930-2277. The guest of honor will be Lord March. Who is Lord March, you say? Well, he is no less than the founder of the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival. He is credited with bringing vintage motorsports back into the limelight; both events are some of the most exciting and creative motorsport events in the world!

There will also be a Movie Night on Wednesday, October 25, which will feature the film Back to the Future. The movie will start at 7 p.m. Light refreshments and snacks will be available. Entry is only $5 per couple. Members will be admitted free.

There will also be a Back to the Future concert, featuring the Flux Capacitors, on Friday, October 27, beginning at 7 p.m. It is suggested that attendees dress in 1950s to 1980s attire. Entry is $20. The actual DeLorean used in the film will be displayed at both the movie and the concert.

The Petersen Automotive Museum is located at 8060 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. For more information, call 323/930-2271 or go to www.petersent.org or www.carstories.com or https://petersentickets.org.

Melo Velo Rallye
The 35th Melo Velo Rallye will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 14 and 15, at “The Place,” located at 4014 Highway 33 in Ventucopa, California 93252.

Southern California Norton Club Ride
On Sunday, October 15, there will be a Southern California Norton Club Ride from Temecula to Julian, California. This is a great time of year for this ride, because the participants can enjoy the fall foliage and the cooler weather, and “apple pie town” is the perfect destination. Meet at the Swing Inn Café, located at 28676 Old Town Temecula Front Street in Temecula. The ride will depart at 9 a.m. sharp. For more information, please go to http://socalnorton.com/.
