Here are some of the events happening this weekend in California… and beyond!

Dubya World Vet Motocross Championships
The Dubya World Vet Motocross Championships will take place this Saturday and Sunday, November 4 and 5, at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California. On Thursday, November 2, there will be open practice from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fee is $30 per bike. Registration will be at the main tower from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, November 3, will feature practice for the World Vets only, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; registration will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday, November 4, the gates will open at 6 a.m. and registration will run from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Practice will begin at 7 a.m., and racing will commence at 8:30 a.m. On Sunday, November 5, the gates and registration will open at 6 a.m. Practice will start at 7, followed by racing, and the Dubya World Vet MX Championships will begin at 8:30.

Malcolm Smith will be presented with the prestigious Edison Dye Lifetime Achievement Award at noon on Sunday, November 5. Oklahoma Gold Rush Grand Prix

On November 3, 4 and 5, the Oklahoma Gold Rush Grand Prix will be held at the Hallet Oklahoma Road Race Course: 1½ miles of road-race course, 9 miles of woods and trails. Bring all your toys – motorcycles, ATVs and side-by-sides. For more information, go to www.okgoldrush.com or call 918/446-6657.

AMA EnduroCross Championship Series
EnduroCross is exciting to watch, and there are only two move events this season. Saturday, November 4, the series will visit the Ford Idaho Center in Boise, Idaho. The final race will be held on Saturday, November 18, at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California. For more information, please go to www.endurocross.com or check it out on Facebook. Southern California Flat Track Association Championship Series
Round 10 of the SCFTA Series will be held on Saturday, November 4. The gates at Perris Raceway will open at 12:30 p.m. Practice will begin at 3:30, followed by racing. The next practice will be held on Saturday, November 18, from 2 to 7 p.m. The track is located at 1205 Burton Road in Perris, California 92570. Hansen Dam Ride
On November 5, the Southern California Norton Club will be hosting the 38th annual Hansen Dam Ride, for British motorcycles only. They have more than 75 miles mapped out, so bring out your classic British motorcycle and have some fun! Be there at 8 a.m. for coffee and doughnuts. After the ride, they will be serving lunch. Meet at Hansen Dam; enter on Dronfield (off Osborne) and turn right and then left to the lower lot. The ride will depart at 10 a.m. sharp.
