So Cal Maico is pleased to announce that World MX Champion Grant Langston will ride a 1981 490 Maico provided So Cal Maico at the “TT Scrambles Take II” event put on by the Old School Scrambles Racing Group at Glen Helen Raceway’s TT Scrambles course on December 3, 2017.

Born in Durban, South Africa, Langston began competing in the World Championships in 1998, and by 2000 he had won the FIM 125cc World Championship as a member of the KTM factory racing team. He moved to the United States in 2001 to compete in the AMA National Championships, winning the 2003 AMA 125cc Outdoor title and the 2003 AMA Supermoto Unlimited Championship. He also won AMA 125cc Supercross championships in 2005 and 2006. In 2007, Langston won the AMA National Championship in the Motocross 450cc class, riding for Yamaha.

Grant now owns a large, multiple-line, family-owned motorcycle dealership in Perris, California, and he is excited about venturing into the world of scrambles TT competition. For more information about his dealership, please go to
