Each year at the event, the Edison Dye MX Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to a deserving individual for their lifelong dedication and contributions to the sport of MX racing. This year’s recipient was the legendary Malcolm Smith, and all of us here at Dubya USA can’t think of a person more deserving than Malcolm Smith.

Tom White Memorial Ride Day Coming Up
Despite the record turnout and amazing racing, spirits were somber, as everyone remembered the recently departed Tom White. Tom founded this event, which is just one of many contributions he made to the motorcycling community that will continue to live on.

Glen Helen has organized the Tom White Memorial Ride Day, which will be held on November 11 at Glen Helen Raceway, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a trackside ceremony at 11 a.m. Donations to Tom’s Early Years of Motocross Museum will be accepted in lieu of regular entry fees, with proceeds going to some of Tom’s favorite charitable organizations.
