Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to You All! We wanted all of you to know you are loved and hope you have a super holiday season!

Trailblazers Awards Banquet
Hope you have received the information for the 74th Trailblazers banquet, which will be held on April 7, 2018. The registration form that has been posted is for those of you who send a check. If you have questions, contact Judy at mctrailblazers01@gmail.com or 951/780-1978 (home) or 909/226-6038 (cell).

We will again have a table near the entrance for those who would like to place flyers. No outside sales are permitted at the banquet, and no flyers can be put on walls or windows. Thank you for your cooperation.

Gary Bryson New Trailblazers VP
Gary Bryson was elected to fill the vice-president position of the Trailblazers Club, which was vacated with the passing of Tom White. Gary is not new to this position, and he has been a longtime member of the Board. Congratulations, Gary!

Tom Horton Elected Bike Show Director
Tom Horton was elected to carry on the Tom Cates Memorial Bike Show. He will be assisted by Bryon Farnsworth, who worked closely with Tom White over the past few years. Tom will be further remembered with the Tom White Best of Show Trophy.

Newsletter to be Added to the Trailblazers Website and Facebook
Soon (we hope!), you will be able to read the newsletter on Facebook and our website at www.trailblazersmc.com. Maybe that will solve the problem of not being able to send photos without gmail deciding they are spam and cutting us off for 24 hours.

James Bollingmo, R.I.P.
You may not have known Jim Bollingmo, but his grandfather, board-track racer A.F. Van Order, was the founder of the Trailblazers. Jim was active with the BMW South Coaster Club and the Big Bear Trail Rider Group. He attended the banquet several times, but health problems and an amputated leg put an end to his riding several years ago. Brian Bell said that Jim often visited his shop, and once commented that he understood it was normal to dream of flying, but that his dreams were always of riding. Jim was about 12 years old when his grandfather founded the Trailblazers. We send condolences to his family and friends.

Monte Lee, R.I.P
Submitted by Lori Conway
We lost another great friend of the motorcycle community recently. Monte Lee was a top desert racer in the 1970s and early ’80s. In his later years, he worked as the checkered flagman at Glen Helen. You will be missed, Monte.
