The Kurt Caselli Foundation recently hosted a medical training day after a rider, who had lain unconscious on the track, appealed to them to sponsor training for the people who are most likely to be first responders at the track. These first responders can include competitors, crew members, track employees, volunteers and family members.

In attendance were more than 20 people trained and certified in CPR, AED and First Aid.

KCF plans on expanding on this program in the near future.

What a great idea: another step to improve rider safety.
